Who We Are

Rediscovery Community is a network community of Christians desiring to live out our faith in simple and authentic ways that bear practical witness to the love and redemptive work of Jesus Christ.

At a time when ideological, political, and cultural wars, divisions, and conflicts threaten the nation, we seek a contemporary recovery of the mutual responsibility, integrated engagement, and social credibility of the earliest Christians as a path toward redemptive reconciliation, transformative cultural renewal, and inclusive socioeconomic flourishing.

We believe everyone has something to contribute and each should be intentionally supported and equipped for productive engagement, personal fulfillment, and their unique contribution toward realizing our shared vision.

Our Vision and Mission

We envision transformative cultural renewal and inclusive socioecomic flourishing within the nation facilitated by a contemporary recovery of the mutual responsibility, integrated engagement, and social credibility of the earliest Christians.

Our mission is to advance this vision by integrating Christian discipleship with community education, productive enterprise, and sociocultural service within a cross-sectoral network-community framework.

Beginning in Tulsa, we hope to grow statewide, extend regionally, and expand nationally. Like the yeast hidden in the dough in Christ’s parable about the kingdom of heaven, we seek to spread transformative influence—not through civil activism or political action, but through lived witness, productive enterprise, and sociocultural engagement.

What We Do

Rediscovery Community seeks to accomplish its mission through engagement in four major areas of human engagement discerned from Scripture: Discipleship and Education, Expertise and Innovation, Productivity and Enterprise, and Creative and Artistic Expression. These are otherwise referred to as our 4E’s: Education, Expertise, Enterprise, and Expression.

Education

Our interest in this area is Christian discipleship and developmental education. It covers the full scope of conventional education but with the added benefit of biblical inspiration. Through fellowships, small groups, and diverse educational initiatives, we seek to cultivate faith, spiritual formation, and broad human knowledge and understanding for faithful, wise, and productive living.

Expertise

Our concern here is specialized knowledge and innovation. We encourage and facilitate the acquisition, development, and responsible use of expertise through specialized education, vocational training, professional employment, research, and technological innovation to address practical needs, support community building, and facilitate human progress and welfare.

Enterprise

Our interest in this area is commercial enterprise and economic develpment. We seek to support and facilitate the development of economic and commercial inititiatives that generate employment, promote responsible living, instill an ethic of industry and self-sufficiency, support the sustainability of our community, and make us a blessing to others.

Expression

We also promote creativity and artistic expression. We believe that God has blessed people with creative and inspirational gifts, such as singing, music, storytelling, and visual art, which can be used to communicate truth, cultivate faith, inspire, entertain, and glorify God. We seek to support such expressions in service of human development and redemptive transformation.

Our Four Cardinal Principles

New Creation Reality

We believe that personal transformation is the essential foundation for authentic contribution to social transformation, and those who seek to advance renewal in society should embody that renewal.

(Romans 8:19–21; Romans 12:2; 2 Corinthians 5:17).

Intentional Positivity

We deliberately focus on that which builds up, encourages, fosters productivity, and advances unity in pursuit of our shared vision, with adequate allowance for gentle and constructive correction.

(Romans 12:17–18; Ephesians 4:29; Galatians 6:1; Colossians 3:13–16).

Individual-Communal Stewardship

We believe that each person is endowed with a unique potential that must be purposefully nurtured and utilized in community for both individual fulfillment and communal advancement.

(1 Corinthians 12:4–7; Ephesians 4:15–16; Acts 2:44)

Divine Order

We recognize alignment with God’s design and purpose as essential to harmony, sustainability, and faithful service, and strive to reflect it in our individual lives and communal engagement .

(Genesis 1:26–28; 1 Corinthians 3:9–14; 15:41; Revelation 4:2–8)
